Its All Happening!

Night one at my hotel was like the quintessential night from hell. I checked into my room and the carpet smelled like a 13 year olds perfume from the 90's. The scent was so strong my nostrils were literally burning. The room was facing a street full of busy traffic. I called down to change my room but they had nothing until the next day. I decided I could tough it out for one night. Now again this might come off as a little high maintenance .....not going to say Im a low maintenance person by any means .....however for many folks with lyme chemical/smell sensitivity is prominent and it brings on a whole host of issues like an allergic reaction. Trust me Id love to be slightly more easy going and Im sure my husband would like that too.....who knows...maybe thats on its way ;)

Anyway my room was also right beside a stairway exit door so I could hear the door opening and slamming and drunk partiers laughing and flayling until 4am! So between the door and the smell I was front desks worst enemy come 6am. They were extremely accommodating and found me a room with hardwood (no carpet smells) and nowhere near a door....just paper thin walls and loud ass 100 year old air conditioners, but no big deal, I guess I was just expecting a bit more out of a hotel in Beverly Hills that only costs the price of a small car to stay in. Anyway its still pretty decent and Ive settled in and made it home for the next 2 weeks! Jose the maintenance man are on a first name basis over this loud as A/C but who couldn't use a friend in the big city so its cool ;)

So Day 1 its 8:00am and I figure I'm going to be there bright and early so I can find it and sort it all out. I see its only 15 mins away so I figure Im to good walk. I take off with my roller bag and GPS and head off.....Im walking and its getting a little further then I thought but again Im not always a great judge of distance so prally its ok. Phewf now Im sweating cause at 8am its like +32 already. My little guy isn't moving on my gps...maybe its just stuck and besides look how happy my fit bit seems! Ok its been 30 mins...what the heck is up?! I reset my gps and realize oh nice...I just walked 30 mins in the wrong direction. I better get uber to get me ...oh wait....my uber app is broke. So back to the hotel I go another 30 mins and 15 mins to the clinic. I roll into a super packed office in a soaking wet sundress, sweaty, hair flying, make up melted and totally late. BOOO. It takes me another 15 min just to dry out, cause thats another lovely little lyme issue.....your body no longer knows how to regulate its temperature yippppeee! lol. Just a nice little 1hour and 15 min walk in the blazing sun...no big deal. Luckily the rest of the day went much better then this.

There are 5 of us in our group and we all sit in IV chairs waiting for our treatments. We first all get hooked up to about 5 different IV bags. Not everyones is exactly the same each day. during this time we take turns getting hooked up to a machine that does something with our body's energy frequency....I think thats what they said or else I made it up. As we sit we get treated to a wet facecloth with lavender and a glass of nettle tea, then a fresh pressed green juice followed by a bone broth and as much lovely spring water as we want. As we are done our IV's we each take turns getting the rest of our treatments which are 1) Body work/massage/trigger points  2) A laser bed that looks like a tanning bed   3) a thyamus shot in the butski  4) lymph system flushing pants...we call them the space pants. Now what does this all do? Well Im not totally sure, but it seems to me that these guys know what their are doing and they assure us it is preparing our body for the stem cells and we are going to feel better because of it all so tanning beds and space suits it is! Within our group is a man who went through this treatment 7 years ago and was the worst case Phil (the owner & head of Infuiso) had ever seen. After his treatment he was feeling better in just 8 weeks and had been functioning at  100% for the first time since childhood. He is back for a tune up, but its such a motivating thing to have him here with us to hear his story of success. Btw this treatment isn't just for lyme, they also do MS, Lupus and other issues.

By the time day 1 was finished I felt pretty ok. I decided to go to whole foods to grab a few things. Let me tell you it is pretty different then back home! The tiny aisles were clogged worse then the traffic outside. People were a bit rude and super plastic, but again....we are in BH. Outside they were all honking at each other and revving their Maserati's to try and win a space in the overcrowded parking garage. As I waited for my Lyft ride I felt totally overwhelmed, hot, distressed and disgusted. I quickly retreated to my hotel room and actually slept most of the night.

Day 2 at the clinic was more of the same, except I was able to get to know the people in my group a bit better and what a treat they are! Seriously though, I completely lucked out....I couldn't have asked for a friendlier more supportive bunch to go through this with, especially since I am here alone for now. I do have to say the support I receive on a daily basis through text, calls, fb and email is phenomenal! Dang I know alot of sweet people ;)
I was feeling well enough day 2 to for lunch at Villa Blanca! I just ran right into it as I was venturing out past our clinic. It was always on my bucket list to eat at a Vanderpump restaurant and it was all I had hoped it would be. Just as I started eating my delicious lunch my day starting catching up with me and my tummy started hurting. I quickly finished up and got my self home. The stomach ache turned into one of the worst I have ever had and lasted ALL night long! The cramps were similar to the kind you have when you give birth!!! What in the fluff was going on!? I panicked a bit to say the least.

When I arrived for Day 3, they told me that it was likely due to the fact that our bodies are taking in alot of lyme killers and such right now and sometimes these symptoms can be the result.....OR it was something I ate (eyeroll)....don't think so .....this was pain of epic proportions. Some also see fatigue, low grade fevers and headaches, and by the end of day 3 I had it all! Did I really sign up and pay actual dollar bills for this?! lol. But as long as there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I will suffer through it, Im missing my boys alot today, but its actually good if your not feeling great to get some peace and quiet and rest so instead of being sad Im going to soak in all up ;) Good thing at least the bed is super comfy in this hotel, because that is now where I camp out every day from 3 onward....and guess what....thats ok!

Days 4, 5&6
I felt so exhausted on these days that I literally went to the clinic, did treatment, grabbed lunch and enough for dinner to go and took it straight back to my room. I parked it right in my bed and barely moved. I don't think I have ever done this for this many days in a row in my entire life! My body was like what is all this rest here I am having!? lol. I had headaches, fatigue and tummy troubles everyday.  I do have to say that day 6 I started feeling a little better energy wise which was nice, but still the other troubles. Lots of emotions and anxiety started coming in waves, but it wasn't anything intolerable. The night of Day 6, I started getting super itchy all over and in my mouth too! I freaked a bit thinking it was possibly a reaction to something, so I had to take an antihistamine...which didn't do much.

Day 7
I changed into a larger room today because yay my boys are coming! I felt like I had some good energy so I made my way to an outdoor mall. Total mistake....it was super hot, and very over crowded! Time to get back to the safe cool confinements of my hotel room. By this time I am SO tired of eating out. My tummy hates me and when Im not in bed...Im in the bathroom....TMI you say...to bad this is my blog mmmmkayyy and thats what really happened! lol. So I cant quite sort out if its all this random food my body is sick of or if it is related to treatment, but one thing is forsure....I am very much looking forward to having the extra stem cells injected into my stomach as requested by me, because this little fella I call a stomach seems to be more angry then it ever is happy. They tell me that this can help put a little extra healing into that area....thank gawd for that! Anyway my boys arrive late tonight and then we start fresh again Monday morning for some more clinic time.

PS: I keep mentioning to people...."crazy busy out there today hey?" "super hot an crowded out there today hey?" and they literally look at me like Im nuts and are like "uh not really." What a bumpkin from a quiet little island this girl is. ha haaa

If you actually read this....thank you for reading my ramblings and hopefully your eyes aren't bleeding ;)

Next up......Beverly Hills culture = pressed juice, plastic surgery and one syllable names....what in the actual fluff?!

    1. Hi! Thank you ;) I stayed at the mosiac hotel. I dont really recommend it....i mean its ok but im sure a vacation rental would be better. I only stayed in a hotel for the room service and security as I was alone. There is a facebook page called Infusio exchange....lots of recommendations for hotels/rentals and much more on there. Best of luck to you in September!!
